Our Staff
Second to our children, the staff at Weekday is one of our greatest gifts! Teachers at Weekday generally stay an average of 8 to 10 years. Combining this with Bachelor and Master’s degrees in education and child development, our teachers understand preschoolers. Using a team approach, our teachers meet monthly to review curriculum and are supported by each other through sharing and caring. Teachers receive training in CPR, child abuse recognition, first aid and communicable disease. They also participate in continuing education and in-service training in an effort to keep up to speed on Early Learning education issues. Teachers are creative in the way Early Learning Standards are presented so each child is nourished through positive and fun hands-on experiences. Teachers recognize that, as a developmental school, children come to us at all different levels and it is our goal to help them learn and grow individually to reach their own capabilities. Teachers take advantage of “teachable moments” and informal or spontaneous interactions, while providing a variety of intentional activities and learning centers.
