Our School

Our School

Medina Weekday Preschool was established in 1970 by the Medina United Methodist Church with 55 students in the basement of the church located off Medina’s square and moved to a bright new facility in 2012. At the present Foote Rd. location, we have grown to accommodate over 200 students.

We are a non-profit school and report to the Intentional Faith Development Team of the church, while being guided by an operating board of parents and church members. We want our children to experience the warm and accepting atmosphere of Christian fellowship while celebrating their uniqueness and goodness through acceptance and love. We also believe “children’s play is their work” and by allowing them to explore various learning centers, children will meet their individual developmental needs.

Classrooms offer large spaces with a private bathroom and personal cubbies for children to keep their belongings. A dedicated large muscle room and large playground is available for children to develop their large motor skills. Walking field trips in our wooded backyard can also be enjoyed by all classes. The school’s developmental approach is aligned with a “Learning Through Play” philosophy and our curriculum is customized by our highly educated and trained staff to include all Early Learning Standards.
